There are two cemeteries associated with the village of Maitland, the St. James Anglican Cemetery located on Church Street. The earliest stone dates back to The Roselawn Memorial Gardens is the newest cemetery in the township and can be found on Maitland Road just north of the second concession.
Its 25 acres is laid out similar to a park with no tombstones and is well cared for. Markers that lie flush with the ground record the names, birth and death dates of those interred there.
