Please keep us informed, because I think something like that could happen to anyone without being an expert on a perticular model gun reguardless of brand or type. He said the gun had been in his family for years and used to belong to his dad.

It says. The right side has made in USA!! The patent is on the top of the barrel!! It has no letters in the SN!! Serial request for maunufacturing year.
My wife keeps a Model 38SP she has had since we were married 28 years ago. Can you help with when this gun was munufactured? It is a snub nose and is in great shape. SN is D Thank you Steve. The value of revolvers depends on condition, barrel length shorter is worth more , original box and paperwork, and the local market.
Your local market may vary. I have a model with s stamped clearly on the butt. Everything I read says there should be a letter in front of this. Can anyone help? My grandfather-in-law has a model with serial number D I don't have any pictures but I told him I'd try to figure out about when it was made.

I have a couple of Model 10s and I'd like to know the year they were made. Model serial number Dxx I've owned this gun for a while and it's the best shooting handgun I've ever owned.
